Given : radius of the circle is 6 cm and LOM 60°,

π = 3.14

To Find : area of the shaded   region

Solution:

area of the shaded   region = Area of Circle  - Area of sector with angle 60°

Area of circle = πr²

Area of sector = (sector angle/360°)πr²

Sector angle = 60°

r = radius = 6 cm

area of the shaded   region = 3.14 * 6² - (60/360) (3.14) * 6²

= (3.14) * 36  - 3.14 * 6

= 3.14 * 30

= 94.2  cm²

area of the shaded   region = 94.2  cm²
