we know that ( x+y)+(w+z)=360⁰(complete angle)
and x+y=w+z
(x+y)+(x+y)=360⁰
2(x+y)=360
x+y=180⁰
so x and y is supplementary to each other
and we know that angle of 180⁰ is a straight line
and we see that x+y is angles between AB
so AB=180⁰
so it is a straight line
hence proved
