Answer:

PQ Parallel BC

so by (Thales theorm)

AQ/QB=AP/PC—eq(I)

PR parallel DC so by Thales theorm

AR/RD=AP/PC—eq(ii)

so AQ/QB=AP/PC=AR/DR

so AQ/QB=AR/DR

by cross multiplication

We get

DR/AR=QB/AQ

QB/AQ=DR/AR

In ΔADC, by BPT AR/AD = AP/AC ... (1)

In ΔACB by BPT AP/AC = AQ/AB...(2)

Now ,

Frm (1) & (2) =

AR/AD = AP/AC = AQ/AB

AR/AD = AQ/AB

hence proved
