Here, PQ = QS = RS = 4 cm, and let radii of the semi-circles with PQ, QS and PS as diameter be respectively r1, r2 and r3.
Then r1 = 2 cm, r2 = 4 cm, r3= 6 cm.
Area of the shaded portion = (πr32 + πr12 – πr22)/2
= π(62 + 22 – 42)/2 = 12π = 12(22/7)
= 264/7 = 37.71cm2. [Ans.]
Perimeter of shaded region = πr1 + πr2 + π r3
= π (r1 + r2 + r3)
= 3.14×(2 + 4 + 6)
= 3.14 × 12 = 37.68 cm. [Ans.]
Then r1 = 2 cm, r2 = 4 cm, r3= 6 cm.
Area of the shaded portion = (πr32 + πr12 – πr22)/2
= π(62 + 22 – 42)/2 = 12π = 12(22/7)
= 264/7 = 37.71cm2. [Ans.]
