In an isosceles triangle sum of two opposite sides of angle are same

A. T. Q,
x+x+70°=180°
2x+70°=180°
2x=180°-70 °
2x=110°
x=110°/2
x=55°
<P=<R=55°

Isosceles triangle = both angles at the base are equal.

Given that in ΔPQR, PQ = PR

⇒∠Q = ∠R = 70°

Sum of angles in a triangle is 180°

∠P = 180 - 70  - 70 = 40°

Answer: ∠P = 40°
