Step-by-step explanation:

in ∆ ABC

∠ABC =70°

∠ BAC = ?

exterior angle ∠ACD = 110°

∠ACD = ∠BAC + ∠ABC

110° = ∠BAC + 70°

∠BAC = 110° - 70°

∠BAC = 40°

Question :

To find <x .

Answer :

Given :

  • <B = 70°

  • <C = 110°

Let's find y : (refer to attachment)

We know that, 110°+y = 180°. Because of Linear pair .

) 110° + y = 180°

) y = 180 - 110

) y = 70°

So, <y = 70°

Then, find <x ,

<x = 180 - ( 70+70)

= 180 - 140

= 40°

Or, We can find like this :

That ,

110° = <A + <B ( Because of interior opposite angles equal to the exterior angle).

110° = x + 70

x = 110-70

x = 40°.

So, <x = 40°.

ie, In ABC :

<A = 40 (x)

<B = 70

<C = 70
