Answer:

x=60⁰

Step-by-step explanation:

angle ACB + angle ACD = 180⁰ ( LINEAR PAIR)

5y + 7y = 180⁰

12y = 180⁰

y = 180⁰/12 = 15

Therefore,

angle A = 3×15 = 45

angle B = 5 ×15 = 75

angle ACD = 7 × 15 = 105

By Angle sum property of a triangle,

angle A+B+C = 180⁰

45 + 75 + x = 180⁰

120⁰+ x = 180⁰

x = 180⁰- 120⁰

So, x = 60⁰

hope that it helps you ☺

Given :- Side BC of triangle ABC has been produced to a point D. If angle A =3y, angle B = x , angle C=5y and angle CBD = 7y.

To Find :- The value of x = ?

Solution :-

→ 7y + 5y = 180° { Linear pair }

→ 12y = 180°

→ y = 15°

now,

→ 3y + x = 7y { Exterior angle is equal to sum of opposite interior angles . }

→ x = 7y - 3y

→ x = 4y

putting value of y from above,

→ x = 4 × 15°

→ x = 60° (Ans.)

Hence, the value of x is equal to 60° .
