In the given figure , square ABCD is divided into five equal parts, all having equal area. The central part is a circle and the lines AP BQ. CR and DS lie along the diagonals AC and BD. If AB=22 cm, find: (a) the circumference of the central part (b) the perimeter of APQB

1.  area of circle = (1/5) area of square ABCD
=> r = 5.54 cm
Perimeter of circle = 2 π r
2.  FE2 = r+ r2
AE = BF = [(1/2) BD] - r 
BD2 = 222 + 222
Perimeter ABFE = 22 + BF + EF + FA
