Given :- In the given figure the segment AE,BF,CG and DH is perpendicular to line l. If AB = 8, BC = 12, CD = 20 and EH = 30 .

To Find :- EF, FG and GH .

Solution :-

since AE,BF,CG and DH is perpendicular to line l .

so,

→ AE || BF || CG || GH { By BPT. }

then,

→ EF : FG : GH = AB : BC : CD

→ EF : FG : GH = 8 : 12 : 20

→ EF : FG : GH = 2 : 3 : 5

given that, EH = 30 .

therefore,

→ EF = 2/(2 + 3 + 5) * 30 = (2/10) * 30 = 6 .

→ FG = (3/10) * 30 = 9 .

→ GH = (5/10) * 30 = 15 .
