Given :

  • x : y = 1 : 2

  • ∠UNT = 90°

To Find :

  • Value of x, y and z

Solution :

➦ ∠UNT + z = 180°

➦ 90° + z = 180°

➦ z = 180 - 90

➦ z = 90°

Let x be a and y be 2a

According to question,

➦ x + y + z = 180° [ Angle Sum Property of triangle ]

➦ a + 2a + 90° = 180°

➦ 3a + 90° = 180°

➦ 3a = 180 - 90

➦ 3a = 90

➦ a = 90/3

➦ a = 30°

x = a = 30°

y = 2a = 30 × 2 = 60°

Additionally :

  • Angle Sum Property of triangle is 180°

  • Angle Sum Property of quadrilateral is 360°

  • Sum of angles in a straight line is 180°

  • Linear Pair = 180°
