so basically here sum of all frequencies is 60

thus then N=60

so hence N/2=60/2

=30

cumulative frequencies of given classes is as follows

0-10=5

10-20=5+8=13

20-30=13+12=25

30-40=25+15=40

40-50=40+20=60

so the class whose cumulative frequency is just greater than 30 is class 30-40 and the corresponding cumulative frequency is 40

hence class 30-40 is our median class
