in the given polynomial x²-2x-√5 find value of alpha - beta

THE ANSWER IS HERE,

 = > \: {x}^{2} - 2x - \sqrt{5}

 = > \: \alpha + \beta = \frac{ - b}{a}

 = > \: \alpha \beta = \frac{c}{a}

 = > \: ( { \alpha - \beta })^{2} = ( { \alpha + \beta })^{2} - 4 \alpha \beta

 = > \: \sqrt{ {2}^{2} +4 \sqrt{5} }

 = > \: \sqrt{4 + 4 \sqrt{5} }

 = > \: 2 \sqrt{1 + \sqrt{5} }

Hi Friend !!!

Here is ur answer....,,,,

x² - 2x - √5

=> α + β = -b/a

=> α+β = c/a

(α-β)² = (α+β)²-4αβ

(α-β)² = (2/1)²-4(-√5)

(α-β)² = 2²+4√5

α-β = √2²+4√5

= 2√1+√5
