As it is given that the ordinate is 1

2

1

times its abscissa

Then, we have y=

x ..... (i)

Given : 2x+5y=19

⇒2x+

15

x=19 ...... From (i)

⇒19x=19(2)

⇒x=2

From (i), we get

y=

×2=3

x=2,y=3

Therefore, the required point is (2,3).
