In the joining figure, AB || CD and AB = CD. prove that :
(a) ∆ AOB is congruent to ∆ DOC
(b) OA = OD
(c) OB = OC​

Answer:

AB∥CD ( given )

In △AOB and △DOC,

∠AOB=∠DOC (Vertically opposite angles)

AB= CD ( Given)

∠ABO=∠DCO (Alternate angles)

From ASA (angle-side-angle) similarity theorem,

△AOB is congruent to ∆ DOC

OA=OD

OB=OC
