In the last stanza, the poet makes an appeal to the senior officials including teachers, governor and inspector to become aware of the condition of the slum children. The poet wants them to do something to improve the condition of these children. The poet believes that the officials must take this as their moral responsibility and help these slum children to come out of their poverty. The poet wishes that these children are able to come out of their narrow lanes and extend their wings to the blue sky. These children must be able to express themselves freely. The poet wishes that all distinctions that separate them from merging with the outside world are removed and they too have hope in their days to come.
