Dear Diary,
Today was such a pleasant day. I participated in the tree plantation campaign organized by our school. There we were told about the benefits of trees. Let me share those benefits with you as well.
The teacher told us that trees are not only a source of oxygen which we require to stay alive, also they are sinks to carbon dioxide which causes pollution in our environment. That is why we call them "lungs" of Earth.
Trees are a natural habitat for a lot of species of birds and insects.
They provide us food and shelter.
Wood from the trees is used for several purposes like making paper, match sticks, furniture, cooking etc.
Therefore, we should plant more and more trees and preserve the already existing ones.
