Griffith conducted transforming experiment on diplococcus pneumonia

and he collected two statins of bacteria one is R strain it contain no mucus coat

other is S coat it contain mucus coat which is virulent

when he inject both strains independently on mices he observed that S will cause pneumonia and mice died
