k =2

during lunar eclipse, all the three lie in a straight line....i.e, they are collinear....

hence.....

slope of (-4,6) & (k,-2) = slope of (-4,6) & (5,-6)

(-2-6)/(k+4) = (-6-6)/(5+4)

-8/(k+4) = -12/9

k+4 = 72/12

k = 2
