In the Merchant Of Venice what does the phrase "Plucking the grass to know where sits the wind" mean?


Barbiekhushi: that means it will show direction

It means that the speaker will be plucking the grass from the ground and he would be tossing it into the air to know in which direction, the wind is blowing...
