Copper cannot displace hydrogen from a diluted acid solution .
Copper is less reactive than Hydrogen and cannot displace hydrogen in any condition.
However it displaces hydrogen from concentrated HCl to form cupric chloride and hydrogen only in special conditions.
Cu + 2HCl(concentrated) ---> CuCl2 + H2
