Good morning everyone present here. Respected Principal, teachers, fellow parents, and my dear students. I am extremely grateful to the school for organizing this special parent-teacher meeting and inviting some of us to express our views on some critical issues concerning the students. I firmly believe education and nurturing is a multi-pronged approach, in which teachers and parents are the most important prongs. If they together join hands and work concertedly, they can tackle many critical issues concerning the students successfully. One of the many such critical issues is the issue of our children becoming lazy, unhealthy, disease prone, and stressed.
You will agree with me that our children fall ill quite more often than we did when we were children!
I would like to mention here the causes of these problems and possible solutions. The first and foremost cause behind these problems is the so called  modern western life-style. We have pampered our children so much that they refuse to eat home-cooked dishes on daily basis. As they have become addicted to the artificial tastes of branded burgers, pizzas, etc. Their bodies are not receiving the required nutrients, vitamins, and minerals more healthy metabolism.
Secondly, they have become addicted to either watching TV incessantly, or browsing internet, or playing video-games, etc. Their lifestyle has become sedentary! They don't go out and play outdoor games the way we were so passionate about in our childhood.
These three evils together are eating the health of our children! Now, shall we allow them to grow weak in front of our eyes? No, certainly not! We the parents and the teachers have to team up and fight these evils. We have to encourage them to eat healthy food; play outdoor games, coax them into utilizing their time in healthy activities.
I appeal to the teachers to instill in them the urge to eat home-cooked food; the importance of playing outdoor games; and not wasting their time and energy in watching TV or internet.
Our children listen to their teachers more than they do to us! We the parents, also will have to work in coordination with the teachers. We will have to be a little lore strict with them. If required, we will have to deprive them of the luxuries of watching TV, and providing them with smart-phones and limitless internet connections. We together can really save our own children from perdition. Thank you very much!
