In the modern system of classification, organisms are classified under five kingdoms, and they are Monera Kingdom, Protista Kingdom, Fungi Kingdom, Plantae Kingdom and Animalia kingdom.
Robert Whittaker introduced it in the year 1968 to have different levels of category for all organisms.
Bacteria are included in the Monera kingdom. These are very much needed for the biological classification of plants and animals.
