Total milk he had= 5 1/2= 11/2 litres

Milk sold to Rena, Kamal and renuka= 3/4+3/4+3/4

= 3*3/4

= 9/4 litres

Milk sold to Shankan

=7/8 litres

Milk sold to Jesse

= 1 1/2

=3/2

Milk left= 11/2-(9/4+7/8+3/2)

= 11/2-(18/8+7/8+12/8)

= 11/2-37/8

=(44-37)/8

=7/8

Therefore, 7/8 litres of milk is left in the can

Hope it helps
