Urine is formed through four basic processes: glomerular filtration, tubular reabsorption, tubular secretion and water conservation (St. Hilaire, 2015). Glomerular filtration: The first stage in urine formation.

The nephron is functional unit of kidney that is made of the glomerulus and tubes and its main duty is to throw the waste from the body before it becomes toxic.

It does so with the help of filtration and secretion.

Metabolic waste is thrown out and useful substances are reabsorbed back into the blood.

The correct sequence of urine formation is filtration, secretion and reabsorption.
