in the ohms law experiment it is advised to take out the plug from the key when the observation are not being taken. why?

it is usually advised to switch off the circuit while not taking the reading for the verification of ohms law because when the current will flow through the resistor then due to heating effect the temperature of the setup will rise and the ohms law will not be verified properly as the ohms law states a condition of constant temperature.

because if the current keep on flowing the temperature of the circuit rises . due to which the properties may alter of the components and we would not be able to verify the law.
