Given : parallelogram ABCD

AB = 24 cm

AD = 18 cm

DF = 15 cm

To Find : DE

Solution:

parallelogram ABCD

opposites sides are Equal

=> BC = AD = 18 cm

case 1 :

Assume DF ⊥ BC , DE ⊥ AB

DF ⊥ BC

Area of Parallelogram = BC * DF

18 * 15

= 270

Area of Parallelogram = AB * DE

= 24 * DE

24 * DE = 270

=> DE = 11.25 cm

case 2 :

Assume DE ⊥ BC , DF ⊥ AB

if DE ⊥ BC

DF ⊥ AB

Then

24 x 15 = 18 * DE

=> DE = 20 cm
