Let a, b, c be the lengths of the sides of the triangular field.

= K (say) …..(Given)

…..(1)

Given that perimeter = 144 m

(3K + 4 K + 5 K) = 144 m

12K = 144 K = 12

Putting for K (1), we get

a = 3 K = 3 (12) = 36 m

b = 4 K = 4 (12) = 48 m

c = 5 K = 5 (12) = 60 m

By Heron's formula,

Area of =

=

= =

= =

= (36) (6) (4) = (216) (4) = 864 m2
