In the poem, "Daffodils", how do the daffodils make the poet happy later in life?

The scene of the daffodils waving in the breeze and the beautiful view of the lake is etched in the mind of the poet forever. Later when the poet(Wordsworth) reclines in the couch, the scene comes in the mind of the poet and he feels happy.
