IThis poem symolizes the human life by those points-
In this poem of frost...A man out in a Storm ,by his own choice, stopping in the dark and lonely woods,.....If we look at the symbols of dark, loneliness ,deep snow, and the silence then we can be lead to someone who is near despair ,who wants to leave the world...he is tired but of what ....who knows...
The human condition is not easy. There are times we feel as if we have had too much and can’t go on. Yet at the end, the narrator gets this insight not once, but twice: “These words are lovely, dark, and deep/But I have promises to keep/And miles to go before I sleep/And miles to go before I sleep.”
The promises symbolize his responsibilities to others as well as himself. And not once, but twice, he says he has a long way to go in life yet before he “sleep”, or before he dies.
