Hi Mate !!
Q. In the polynomial if zeros are given then how we can find the value of k ?
✴ Since , the Zeros are given I.e, if the polynomial is p ( x ) then the Zeros is given is the value of x
When we put the value of x in the p ( x ) we get Zero as resultant and can find !!
For eg.:- P ( x ) x² + 2kx - 1 = 0
Zeros is given as 1
then we put the value of x as 1
( 1 )² + 2 k × 1 - 1 = 0
1 + 2k - 1 = 0
2k = 0
k = 0/2
k = 0
Hence , we find the value of k as 0
to check :-
Put the value of k !!
x² + 2kx - 1 = 0
x² + 2x × 0 - 1 = 0
x² - 1 = 0
• Factorising it :-
[ a² - b² = ( a + b ) ( a - b ) ]
( x )² - ( 1 )² = 0
( x + 1 ) ( x - 1 ) = 0
• ( x + 1 ) = 0
x = ( - 1 )
• ( x - 1 ) = 0
x = 1
Hence , we get the value of x as 1
that means value of k is 0.
