Culture itself is a very big factor and in fact the first one to be influenced while the very process of assimilation is in effect. The compound dominant culture if taken into account with reference to the context points towards the practices of the majority group of a particular society. The concise understanding of the former would ultimately result in the absorption of the subordinate cultural practices. This happens because of the sole influence of the majority as our social trend has always been. The people accept the dominant culture and it would not be wrong to say that the subordinate cultures do not absolutely dissolve in the tide of the dominant culture because our country is a secular one.
