in the process of mining of copper , in second step ,can we thermally decompose Cu2O as we do as in case of HgO.......please answer only if u know the answer

no we cannot thermally reduce Cu2O like we do in HgO. it is not possible

because, 2Cu2O + O2 would give 4CuO
I m talking about calcination ...not roasting
without oxygen
