F12 is in the direction of r12 as position vector is taken of force experiencing charge with respect to force exerting charge

dhreetisahu: but i think here r12 is a displacement vector as r1 and r2 are the position vector
dhreetisahu: please correct me if i am wrong
zxcbnm: r1 is position of q1 but with respect to origin
zxcbnm: but u need distance bet charges
zxcbnm: so u frame q12 which is also position of q1 but with respect to q2
zxcbnm: that helps u to find distance between charges to calculate force
zxcbnm: charge don't displace as coulomb law is for stationery charges
dhreetisahu: ooh
dhreetisahu: thank you so much
zxcbnm: kk
