Muhammad bin Tuglaq started issuing token currency that is coins of copper and brass were minted whose value was equal to of silver and gold coins, but this experiment of Muhammad bin Tughlaq failed because the house of every Hindu and hence they knew how to make coins. , because of this the value of the coins decreased and the coins became worthless as stones and his treasury became empty because of his experiment. Legal tender money is that money that satisfies the following two conditions:

(i) The money which is defined as the coins or banknotes that must be accepted if offered in payment.

(ii) The money which is recognized by the courts of law.

So, the correct answer is Option A.

Note: He was called a wise fool because of three reasons:

I. Maintaining a huge army because of this he ordered people to pay more taxes because of which farmers shifted their occupation as they were not able to pay taxes.

II. He introduced token currency which created a lot of chaos and because of which his treasury got empty.

III. He wanted to rule over the whole Indian Sub-continent, he shifted his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad, because of the relocation of many people who died.
