I think by now it has been a well-established fact that the interior angles of a triangle sum to 180 degrees. I want to show the proof, rather than just spew it out as a fact.

So we have this random triangle. We want to prove that a+b+c=180 . Here’s how:

We draw a straight line that is parallel to line ab . Now, we have a copy of angle a and a copy of angle b , since the two lines are parallel. It is clear now that a+b+c=180 .

Now, we know 2 of the interior angles of the triangle are 35 and 45 degrees. (Let them be a and b , respectively). Now all we need some simple algebra!

a+b+c=180

a=35,b=45

35+45+c=180

c=180−35−45

c=100

So now we know the other angle is 100 degrees!
