In the reaction between magnesium and hydrochloride acid you will get following equation:
Mg(s) + 2 HCl(aq) --> MgCl2(aq) + H2(g
Isnt it better to remove the Cl, because you are not recieving a new thing called magnesiumchloride, it is just the ions of magnesium and chloride in water?

no it's not. We require Clbecause it acts as an electron donator Mg.
