Hello friend,

◆ Answer -

V(CaO) = 9.88 ml

n(CaCO3) = 2 mol

◆ Explanation -

Decomposition of CaCO3 takes place as -

CaCO3 = CaO + CO2

So no of moles of CaO are equal to moles of CaO.

n(CaO) = n(CaCO3)

n(CaO) = 20 / 60

n(CaO) = 0.33 mol

Volume of CaO formed is -

V(CaO) = moles × molar mass / density

V(CaO) = 0.33 × 100 / 3.34

V(CaO) = 9.88 ml

Also from the reaction, for 2 mol of CO2

n(CaCO3) = n(CO2)

n(CaCO3) = 2 mol

Thanks dear...
