Answer:

Case-1 : For 1st body of mass , m₁

Force , F = 5 N

Mass , m₁ = m₁ Kg

Acceleration , a = 10 m/s²

⇒ F = ma

⇒ 5 = m₁ (10)

⇒ m₁ = ¹/₂

⇒ m₁ = 0.5 Kg

Case-2 : For 2nd body of mass , m₂

Force , F = 5 N [ ∵ Same force ]

Mass , m₂ = m₂ Kg

Acceleration , a = 20 m/s²

⇒ F = ma

⇒ 5 = m₂ (20)

⇒ m₂ = ⁵/₂₀

⇒ m₂ = ¹/₄

⇒ m₂ = 0.25 Kg

Case-3 : For both bodies when tied together

Force , F = 5 N

Masses when tied together ,

⇒ m₁ + m₂ = 0.5 + 0.25

⇒ m₁ + m₂ = 0.75 Kg

Acceleration , a = ? m/s²

Apply Formula ,

⇒ F = ma

⇒ F = ( m₁ + m₂ ) a

⇒ 5 = ( 0.75 ) a

⇒ a = ⁵/₀.₇₅

⇒ a = 6.67 m/s²

now you all rate me brilliant
