In the reaction PCI3 + Cl2 →
→ PCI5
(1) PCI3 is acting as reductant.
(2) Cl2 is acting as reductant.
(3) Both PCI3 and Cl2 are acting as reductant.
(4) Both PCI3 and Cl2 are acting as oxidant

Please tell the reasoning as well.

Answer:

Reducing agent (also called a reductant or reducer) is an element or compound that loses (or "donates") an electron to an electron recipient (oxidizing agent) in a redox chemical reaction. A reducing agent is thus oxidized when it loses electrons in the redox reaction.
