In the redox reaction: Cr2O72- + Fe2+ --> Cr3+ + Fe3+. What would the balanced reaction look like, and would CrO72- be the Reducing Agent, and Fe2+ be the Oxidizing Agent?

Answer:

if you do it in the way I mentioned above, your answer is wrong because there you have a lag of 1H+ .

so, the same equation with

Cr2O72- + 6Fe2+ +10H+ --> 2Cr3+ +6Fe3+ +5H20

this will be the balanced reaction, if you solved it in the ion-electron method.
