In the right -angled LMN, angle M equal to 90 degree. If 1 (LM) equal to 12cm and 1 (LM) equal to 20cm, find the length of seg MN

there is triangle LMN

<M=90

LM=12cm
LN=20cm

by using Pythagoras theorem

 {ln }^{2}  =  {mn}^{2} +   {lm}^{2}
I.e.
 {20}^{2}  =  {mn}^{2}  +  {12}^{2}
400-144=mn^2

 \sqrt{256}  =  {mn}
16=mn

mn=16cm
