Given that number of students = 968.

Given number of students left out = 7.

Number of students arranged in rows and columns = 968 - 7

= 961.

Given number of rows = number of students in each row.

 = > \sqrt{961}

 = > \sqrt{31^2}

 = > 31

Therefore, the number of rows = 31.

Hope this helps!
