Answer:

These 4 numbers are in A.P. and the difference is 3.

the third term is 18

and you will get other term either by adding 3 and moving in the pattern

or by using the formula of nth term that is =

An =  a + ( n - 1)

the next terms will be 21,24,27,30 and so on

hope it helps

The third term of the series is 18.

Given,

A series 12, 15, 18, 21,...

To Find,

The third term of the series.

Solution,

The given series is

12, 15, 18, 21

In this series

15-12 = 18-15 = 3

So, this series is an A.P.

Now,

In this A.P

a = 12

d = 3

The formula for calculating the third term of an A.P is

a₃ = a+(3-1)d

a₃ = a+2d

Now, substituting the values

a₃ = 12+2(3)

a₃ = 12+6 = 18

Hence, the third term of the series is 18.
