A set is something which is a collection of well defined objects or ideas which hold the same properties.
There are two kinds in which we can represent a set
-Roster form
-Set builder form
In a set builder form we write a set by defining its elements with a common property. It doesn't give us the actual data but gives us the information about it.
Examples:
Roaster form={a,e,i,o,u}
Set builder form={x is a vowel in English alphabet}

Roaster form:{0}
Set builder form {x is an integer and x+1=1}

Roaster form{1,2,4,5,10,20}
Set builder form{x is a factor of 20}

there are two methods of representing a set.
1) Roster form or tabular method or list method
2)Set -builder or Ruler method

in the set builder method , we describe the elements of the set by specifying the property which determines the elements of a set uniquely.
example :
1) A={a,e,i,o,u}
A={x/x is vowel of english alphabet}
2)B={10,20,30,40,50}
B={10n/n€N, n<6}
3)C={1,2,3,4}
C={x/x is the natural number less than 5}
