In the side figure, PL is perpendicular to OB and PM is perpendicular to OA such that PL=PM. Is OC a bisector of angle AOB ?Why ?

Answer:

In triangle POL and POM.

PL = PM (given)

POPO (common)

Angle L = Angle M (each 90)

Therefore, POL is congruent to POM.

By CPCT,

OL = OM.
