Answer:
Tomatoes
Potatoes
Eggs
If Tomatoes are compared with Potatoes, it is fine.
T:P = 5:3
If Potatoes are compared with Eggs, it is fine.
P:E = 5:7
But the problem begins when we want to compare Tomatoes with Eggs.
Why is that so ?
It is because potatoes = 3 in the first ratio while it is 5 in the second ratio.
How to redeem the situation ?
Make value of potato common in both ratios !!!
How to do it ?
LCM(3,5) = 15
Somehow make potatoes = 15 in each ratio.
=> T:P = 5:3 = 25:15
P:E = 5:7 = 15:21
Ah !!!
I can now compare Tomatoes with Eggs without having to consult Potatoes.
T:P:E = 25:15:21
=> E:T = 21:25
:-)
