=> The Puritan government of Massachusetts was neither a democracy nor a theocracy. Massachusetts had aspects of both.The religious laws were  dominant over most laws in the state. However, they didn't have one ruler. The only people who could vote were the "freemens."✨✨

    The Puritan government of Connecticut  was controlled by King Charles II of England. He gave the governor the "executive" power. Puritan was the only religion allowed. It was part of an extended monarchy as well.✨✨
