 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

STEP 1: Find the total amount of the 4 stocks:

Average = $100

Sum = 4 x 100 = $400

STEP 2: Find the total amount of the 3 stocks

400 - 70 = $330

STEP 3: Find the average of the 3 stocks

330 ÷ 3 = $110

Answer: The average of the 3 stocks is $110

austenjt: I disagree: if the $70 prices is not an average price, which it is not, since the question DOES NOT state that it is, then you CANNOT infer that 4 x $100 is the average price of the 4. This answer is SOOO wrong! I cannot believe that 42 people liked this and didn't see that it was incorrect.
TooFree: $70 is not the average price. $70 is the price of the Drone stock.

The question states that "four different stocks have an average price of $100 per stock. ". That is how we inferred that the average is $100 and therefore the sum of the 4 sums is 4 x 100 = $400.

Given

Average price of a four different stock=100
the price of drone is(x)= 70

According to the problem
x+x+x+x÷4=100
3x+70=400
3x=330
x=110

The average price of a four different stock is 110

gani279: yes it is right
