In the story ' A Face in the Dark' it is stated "Mr. Oliver was not a nervous or imaginative man." Do you agree? With close reference to the story give reasons to justify your answer.

According to me Mr.Oliver was not a
nervous man because he used to go
for walk in dark everyday.He knew what he may encounter in night.He did not fear any thieves,or ghost or insects.The main reason for this are as under :-
1)Mr.Oliver went to the crying child even though it was dark and the child would have been a theif.
2)Everyday in evening time Mr.Oliver used to go for long walks and did not worry about wild animals,theif or ghosts.

Explanation:
Oliver was not a nervous or imaginative man. We see Mr. Oliver taking the usually lonely path through the pine forest while returning to the school compound from the Simla bazaar even late at night. That only supports the narrator's comment on him not being nervous.
