A shady Plot by Elsie Brown is a story about the writer who writes stories about ghost and is assisted by a ghost, Helen. Helen, who was a ghost, was the member of "Writer's Inspiration Bureau" she helped who were unable to gather idea to write ghost stories. But by the use of an Ouija board, the ghosts are annoyed by the people and threatens to go on strike until people won't stop. With this message, Helen comes to the writer, whereas, writer's wife had already got one Ouija board. whereas, other reason why she appears in bits and pieces is because the ghosts may have the protocol to appear and then vanish.
